Course Syllabus

PLTW is a copyrighted course and sharing of materials outside of the classroom is prohibited.

Grades are kept on HAC and are weighted accordingly: Tests - 70% of marking period, assignments, labs and career journal - 10% each of marking period. The semester grade is 80% marking period and 20% final exam. The first semester final is written by the instructor and the second semester final is the PLTW HBS End of Course Assessment and will cover the entire year. The class grade is weighted as a 4.5. 

If a student earns a 6 or higher on the PLTW EoC assessment they may apply for credit from IUPUI.

The entire course is on Canvas so students can access the lessons wherever they are. If a student misses a lab activity there will sometimes be opportunity for them to make that up but, not always as some materials are limited and/or time sensitive. No alternate activities will be available.

All assignments are to be turned in on Canvas. The student may receive full credit for late assignments as long as they are turned in before the assignment is closed on Canvas. Assignments close 2 weeks after the due date or the last day of the semester, whichever comes first.

Assignments and the order in which they are done is subject to change.
